Stella Cherry Tree Description

The Stella Cherry tree is a highly regarded, self-fertile variety, making it an excellent choice for home gardens as it doesn’t require a second tree for pollination. Known for its sweet, juicy, dark red cherries, the Stella produces a generous crop from mid to late summer, typically from July. The fruit is perfect for eating fresh or using in a range of culinary dishes such as desserts, jams, and sauces.

Pruning Advice

Pruning should be done in late summer after fruiting to avoid diseases like silver leaf. Focus on thinning out any crowded branches to allow better airflow and light penetration, and remove any dead, damaged, or crossing branches. Stella requires only light pruning to maintain a healthy shape and promote good fruit production.
